Terms of Use

These terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities between TOV MERCI (the "Company") and users regarding the use of the iOS app "Sayho" (the "Service").

Sayho is a multilingual selling-phrase book for retail and duty-free sales staff. It provides about 320 phrases in Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, text-to-speech with the device's built-in voices, a show-to-customer screen, search, number / price / counting readers, spaced-repetition practice with a daily goal, a streak calendar, a lock-screen widget, and an optional daily today's-phrase notification. There is no sign-up or login. The Service is free and shows ads at the bottom.

1. Users may use the Service freely for personal or work purposes. 2. The free Service shows Google AdMob ads. Whether ads are personalized is up to you, through the tracking prompt on first launch and iPhone Settings.

1. The copyright and all rights in the Service's content, including the phrases, translations, phrase database, structure, design, mascots and images, belong to TOV MERCI. 2. Without the Company's prior written permission, users must not: - copy, reproduce, extract, transmit, distribute, post, sell or rent all or part of the phrase database or app content; - collect content by automated means such as scraping or crawling; - reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app to extract phrases or other content, or create a similar app, service or textbook from it; - use any part of the app to provide another service or for commercial purposes. 3. Ordinary personal study, and using the app to talk with customers in your day-to-day store work, is not prohibited. 4. Violations may result in restricted use and civil and criminal liability.

1. The phrases in the Service are general communication aids. In particular, phrases about tax refunds, customs and duty-free rules, prices, ingredients, warranties and the efficacy of health supplements may differ from reality depending on the store, country and time. 2. Users must follow their store's actual policies and applicable law. The Service is not legal, tax, medical or other professional advice. 3. The Company does not guarantee the completeness or currency of the phrases, nor the pronunciation accuracy of the device's built-in voices. Voice quality depends on the device and the voices downloaded.

To the extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service, or for disputes or losses with customers arising from using the phrases. This does not apply to damages caused by the Company's intent or gross negligence.

The Company may change or suspend all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons, and will announce significant changes in the app or on a web page. Deleting the app also deletes the starred phrases, practice records and settings stored on the device, and the Company cannot recover them.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes relating to the Service shall be resolved in the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act of Korea.
